Is a Compaq Presario V3010US a good computer?

Q) Thinking about buying this laptop only after I have sold my desktop pc with the same amount of Gb and ram space as the laptop. Almost new (comes with box, all cords and accessories, manuals) Compaq Presario V3010US Turion 64 X2 TL-50 / 1.6 GHz RAM : 512 MB HD : 100 GB DVD±RW (+R DL) 802.11b/g Win XP Professional 5 in 1 card reader (SD Memory Card, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, MultiMediaCard, xD-Picture Card) NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 video card 14.1" Widescreen TFT 1280 x 800 ( WXGA ) Microsoft word, publisher, excel, access, frontpage, etc. also have adobe design and web premium installed. (photoshop, flash, dreamweaver, etc.) OK, thanks for the answers. I am basically looking for a laptop that I can take with me on trips and to friends house. I want it to be able to play the Sims 2 games and store video, music, and downloaded games. Can someone suggest to me of a good laptop for this usage? Perferably no more than $600 maximum price. A) I wouldn't recommend purchasing that laptop. The processor is rather slow, you need at least 2 GB of RAM to run Vista properly (just to give you an idea of how poor 512 MB is). Also, that hard drive is rather small. I would recommend getting a laptop with a Wireless N networking card because it is quickly becoming the new standard and a/b/g are becoming a thing of the past. The only thing a laptop like this one might be sufficient for is simple word processing and Internet tasks. You can get a new lap top with similar to better specifications at a pretty low price currently. If you're planning on spending any where near $400 for a used one I would recommend getting a new one instead.
